Enligt juryn bidrar arbetet med viktiga perspektiv inf\u00f6r framtida axellast\u00f6kningar och belyser fr\u00e5gor som blir allt viktigare i takt med \u00f6kade transportbehov p\u00e5 j\u00e4rnv\u00e4gen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 Att f\u00e5 ta emot Swedtrains examenspris betyder mycket f\u00f6r mig. Det k\u00e4nns som ett kvitto p\u00e5 att det arbete jag lagt ner i mitt examensarbete har haft relevans och uppskattas av branschen, s\u00e4ger Murad Arnaout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under Swedtrains \u00e5rsm\u00f6te presenterade Murad sitt arbete f\u00f6r f\u00f6reningens medlemmar och representanter fr\u00e5n j\u00e4rnv\u00e4gsbranschen \u2013 en uppskattad presentation som v\u00e4ckte tankar om hur befintliga konstruktioner kan m\u00f6ta framtidens krav.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.swedtrain.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/IMG_9382-2-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2972227\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.swedtrain.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/IMG_9382-2-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.swedtrain.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/IMG_9382-2-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.swedtrain.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/IMG_9382-2-1152x1536.jpg 1152w, https:\/\/www.swedtrain.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/IMG_9382-2-1536x2048.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.swedtrain.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/IMG_9382-2-9x12.jpg 9w, https:\/\/www.swedtrain.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/IMG_9382-2-810x1080.jpg 810w, https:\/\/www.swedtrain.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/IMG_9382-2-scaled.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ett v\u00e4xande intresse f\u00f6r j\u00e4rnv\u00e4gsbroar<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fr\u00e5gor kring j\u00e4rnv\u00e4gsbroars livsl\u00e4ngd och l\u00e5ngsiktiga h\u00e5llbarhet blev tidigt ett naturligt intresseomr\u00e5de under studierna vid Lule\u00e5 tekniska universitet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 Intresset f\u00f6r j\u00e4rnv\u00e4gsbroar v\u00e4cktes i samband med LTU:s arbete med utmattning av j\u00e4rnv\u00e4gsbroar och studier kring \u00f6kning av tekniska livsl\u00e4ngder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I examensarbetet unders\u00f6ks bland annat hur olika belastningscykler p\u00e5verkar j\u00e4rnv\u00e4gsbroars livsl\u00e4ngd och hur laster sprids i ballast \u2013 fr\u00e5gor som blir allt viktigare i takt med \u00f6kade transportbehov och tyngre transporter p\u00e5 j\u00e4rnv\u00e4gen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Potential f\u00f6r l\u00e4ngre livsl\u00e4ngd<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En av de viktigaste slutsatserna fr\u00e5n examensarbetet \u00e4r enligt Murad den potential som finns i mer nyanserade analyser av j\u00e4rnv\u00e4gsbroars belastning och kapacitet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 Det finns stor potential att \u00f6ka den tekniska livsl\u00e4ngden hos j\u00e4rnv\u00e4gsbroar genom mer nyanserade analyser av fler typer av belastningscykler och hur laster sprids i ballast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">F\u00f6rhoppningen \u00e4r att resultaten ska kunna bidra till mer h\u00e5llbar infrastruktur och b\u00e4ttre resursanv\u00e4ndning inom j\u00e4rnv\u00e4gssektorn fram\u00f6ver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 Jag hoppas att resultaten kan anv\u00e4ndas fram\u00f6ver f\u00f6r att g\u00f6ra j\u00e4rnv\u00e4gsbroar mer h\u00e5llbara, vilket i sin tur kan bidra till b\u00e5de milj\u00f6m\u00e4ssiga och ekonomiska vinster inom infrastrukturen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Juryns motivering lyder:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cA structured and thorough analysis of the load carrying capacity of trough bridges. The thesis investigates the influence of assumed load distribution and of increased axle load. Results are compared between two design codes and validated towards full scale tests.
